Applications - Sublity API
An application is one candidate attached to one job in a customer's account, carrying the stage they have reached and who is credited for the referral.
It is the only thing that answers "what happened to the person I sent". Without it a submission that stalled and one that was never received look identical — you would only ever learn an outcome at the very end, if it became a placement.
Statuses belong to the job's workflow, not to the account, and every customer names their own stages. Branch on workflow_status_id, never on the text beside it.
Resolve it through GET /api/ats/lookups, whose workflow_statuses list carries what each status means: is_active (the candidate is still being worked), is_success_outcome (hired) and is_failure_outcome (rejected or withdrew), plus is_pending_outcome and is_neutral_outcome.
Renamed 2026-09-30: these fields were candidate_in_job_status_id and candidate_in_job_status_name. They now match the platform's own name for the table, WorkflowStatus.
